First, I won’t bore you with my ramblings, get the recipe.
When you’re a carb lover with a sweet tooth that won’t quit, Keto can be difficult. They tell you that your cravings will disappear as you get into ketosis and you won’t be craving sugar or sweets or carbs. Nope. Never happened for me. Granted, in the first few months, I kept cheating and then setting myself back weeks. Eventually, I did stop craving bread and potatoes. Potatoes were particularly difficult for me as they are my favorite food. But the sweets are almost a necessity. Nothing is killing that craving. I tried so many recipes for bread and baked goods and they all tasted like cardboard. This one is a winner. It’s heavy, and eggy and high in calories compared to regular pound cake, but the result is something that tastes like a real cake. And warmed up with a few berries and some homemade whipped cream – it’s heaven. I didn’t make the glaze, hoping to save a few calories there. But I’ll make it next time.
